Chapter Seven is the new leader in Poll

Freehold, NJ — Three newcomers joined the rankings in this week’s Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll while Chapter Seven took over the top spot.
The 4-year-old trotting horse Chapter Seven, who equaled the all-age world record of 1:50.1 for trotters on a mile track in winning the Nat Ray, grabbed 16 first place votes and 297 points, nine ahead of previous leader Check Me Out, who broke stride in the Hambletonian Oaks and was third placed eighth.
Hambletonian champion Market Share enters the poll in sixth place; Put On A Show, who won the Lady Liberty in world record time, checks in eighth; and US Pacing Championship winner Golden Receiver returns to the poll at No. 10.
