Charger nets hat trick in upset at Harrington

Harrington, DE — Ron Short’s Charger ($33.40, Allan Davis) was an upset winner in achieving his third consecutive win on Monday (May 25) in the $12,500 Open II Pace at Harrington Raceway.

Charger was a narrow winner in the Open II Pace at Harrington.
The 10-year-old altered son of Stampede Hanover was dismissed at 15-1 and set all the fractions in a narrow win over a fast closing Special T Rocks. Shiretown Pitbull was parked the entire mile and finished third.
Charger recorded his 46th career win for owner/trainer Short and raised his lifetime bankroll to more than $421,000.
It was one of four wins on the program for driver Davis, while Montrell Teague registered a driving triple.
