Charles Moses Sr., 80, dies

Columbus, OH — Charles M. Moses Sr., 80, of Butler, Pa., died Dec. 30, 2021.

Born Jan. 12, 1941, in Lyndora, he was the son of the late Charles S. and Mary (Roskovski) Moses.

Mr. Moses was a graduate of Butler High School Class of 1958. He was employed at Armco Steel for 43 years.

He was an avid sportsman and was inducted into the Butler Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.

He also owned and trained Standardbreds and was a member of the USTA. He was the proud owner of Tremor Hanover, 2011 Pacer of the Year at the Meadows Racetrack.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy (Polanec); sons, Chuck Jr. and Rick; daughters, Debra and Christine (Bryn) Martin; grandchildren, Mark, Michael, Aaron (Jennifer) Johnston, and Shawn Johnston; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

He will be forever missed.
