Check Me Out remains on top in Poll

Freehold, NJ — Older trotter Mister Herbie raced into the Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown rankings, entering at No. 7, thanks to a stakes-record victory in last weekend’s Maple Leaf Trot while No. 1 Check Me Out remained solidly entrenched in the top spot.
Check Me Out, a 3-year-old filly trotter, was idle last week and is preparing for Saturday’s Hambletonian Oaks eliminations. She received 32 of 35 first-place votes.
There was little movement in the poll, particularly in the top six places. Archangel, who was among 25 3-year-old trotters to enter Saturday’s eliminations for the Hambletonian, joined the poll at No. 10.
