Cream Ridge, NJ — Eric Cherry, proprietor of Let It Rides Stables and On Gait.com the Internet Sales, has bought into the stallion Heston Blue Chip p,3,1:48f ($1,781,881), arguably the best bred son of American Ideal in stud today.

Mr. Cherry owns a portion of former Canadian and now Delaware stallion Badlands Hanover along with Winbak Farm and will own Heston Blue Chip also with Winbak Farm.

Heston Blue Chip, the first and most successful foal of the Cam’s Card Shark mare Shot Togo Bluechip, is a full brother to Sunfire Blue Chip p,3,1:48.3f ($1,275,555) and Gweneeee J p,4,1:50.1 and a half-brother to the 2-year-old I’m Trigger Happy p,2,1:52.2.

“I was impressed that he was the champion 3-year-old of perhaps the strongest crop in recent times over Sweet Lou, A Rocknroll Dance, Pet Rock, Thinking Out Loud, Bolt The Duer, Mel Mara, Panther Hanover and State Treasurer and was the betting favorite in the 2012 Breeders Crown over most of those opponents,” said Cherry, who currently owns 60 broodmares.

Heston Blue Chip will stand for 2018 at Winbak Farm of New York for a fee of $5,000.
