Cheyenne Robin and two freshmen by If I Can Dream win NJSS-GA

Manalapan, NJ — Cheyenne Robin and a pair of 2-year-olds by If I Can Dream turned in winning efforts in New Jersey Sire Stakes–Green Acres on Saturday (Oct. 3) at Freehold Raceway.

In the $7,000 3-year-old filly pace, the third race, Cheyenne Robin (Rocknroll Hanover) was a half-length winner over even-money favorite Strut My Stuff (Western Ideal). It was 1-3/4 lengths to Smart Zone (Rocknroll Hanover) in third. The mile was paced in 1:55.2 on a sloppy track.

Cheyenne Robin ($6.20), driven by Daniel Dube and trained by Robert Siegelman, races for The Cheyenne Gang LLC. It was the filly’s fifth win of the year. She has finished in-the-money in 18 of 37 lifetime starts for a bankroll of more than $126,000.

If I Can Dream, who stands at Deo Volente Farms in Flemington, N.J., was the sire of the winners of both the 2-year-old pacing colt and 2-year-old pacing filly $7,000 splits contested prior to the betting card.

Perchance To Dream, driven by Steve Smith, won the colt division by a neck over Don’tcallmefrancis (Rocknroll Hanover) with Rock N Roll Style (Rocknroll Hanover) in third by 5-3/4 lengths. The time of the mile was 1:58.3.

Perchance To Dream picked up his third win in eight starts. He races for the ownership of trainer Brian Wright and breeder Willard D. Hall Jr.

Queenofthedreams won the filly division by a nose over On Top Of The Rock (Rocknroll Hanover) with 1-1/2 lengths to LL Jackpot (Philos Hanover) in third.

Marcus Miller guided the Nick Surick trainee to the 2:01.3 victory. She has three wins, two seconds and two thirds in eight starts. She is owned and bred by Michael Boutilier.
