Defending Open winner Camwood was first off the gate from post five with Cory Stratton. After Camwood finally cleared and got to the front, Epaulette A was not content to sit the pocket. Bruce Aldrich Jr. pulled the right line to take the lead right back, approaching the quarter pole in :28.3.

Approaching the half, Cheyenne Ryan Lee vacated the three hole and came first over past the half in :58, followed by PH Kenny and Kyle DiBenedetto. Epaulette A still led the pack to the three-quarters in 1:26.2.

Coming off the last turn first over, the animated Luke Hanners urged Cheyenne Ryan Lee to the lead to score a 1-1/2 length win over Epaulette A in 1:54.4 ($7.00).

The 5-year-old gelded son of Roll With Joe is trained by Alexandra Goldin and notched his fifth win of the year for owner Antoinette Bencivenne.
