Albany, NY — Capitol Hill Management Services is pleased to announce that it has been selected to provide administrative, marketing and public relations services to the New York Sire Stakes program.

The NYSS is New York State’s premier harness racing program designed to promote the breeding, buying and racing of Standardbred horses in New York State. Administered by the Agriculture and New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund, the New York Sire Stakes is the nation’s oldest harness racing program of its kind.

CHMS will provide administrative services to streamline and improve the overall operations of the program, as well as marketing and public relations services to help promote and grow the Standardbred horse racing industry in New York State. CHMS has also partnered with the Albany-based public relations firm, Baker Public Relations, to assist in promoting the industry, its people and highlighting its importance to the economy and agricultural community in the state.

“We look forward to working with the New York State Harness Horse Breeders and the Agriculture & New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund to advance the Standardbred horse racing industry in New York State,” said John A. Graziano Jr., CHMS President. “We are pleased to work with all industry stakeholders and applaud the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets for the creation of its advisory group to expand equine operations in New York State.”

“With race purses and opportunities so strong in NY and breeders awards at an all-time high, we are all very excited about the upcoming racing season,” said Agriculture and New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund Trustee Michael Kimelman.

Kimelman’s sentiments were shared by fellow Trustee Peter Arrigenna.

“As a member of the governing body for Standardbred horse racing in New York State, I am looking forward to working with the professional team at Capitol Hill Management Services to implement the policies and procedures put in place by the Fund and providing the hardworking members of the equine industry the support and recognition they deserve,” said Arrigenna.
