Cinder Block wins fifth straight

Harrington, DE — Don Marine’s Cinder Block ($5.40, Mike Cole) improved to five-for-five at the current meet with a 1:55.2 victory in the first race on the program at Harrington Raceway Monday (May 28).

Cinder Block improved to five-for-five at the current meet with a 1:55.2 victory.

The Rockabillie colt emerged the leader in deep stretch after following race favorite and pacesetter Sip And A Bite most of the mile. Trained by Kyle Moore, it was a new lifetime mark for Cinder Block.

Cole had four wins on the program.

In the $16,000 Open Pace feature, Arthur Stafford and Arthur Stafford Jr.’s Blazing Bobby Sox ($2.40, Stafford Jr.) notched his sixth win of the season and second straight in 1:52.2.

The gelding by The Panderosa led at nearly every call for a dominant win over Machamillion N and Remember Me Vk. Trained by Stafford Jr., Blazing Bobby Sox notched his 26th career win in just 78 starts.
