Cinder’s Baby fastest of DSBF winners at Harrington

Harrington, DE — Eli Beiler, Clint Crellin and Elam Esh’s Cinder’s Baby ($2.10, Art Stafford Jr.) was the fastest of the three 2-year-old pacing fillies to take their respective $20,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) divisions on Tuesday (Sept. 29) at Harrington Raceway.

The Rockabillie filly completed a sweep of her divisions after her 1:59 first-round win on Sept. 22. Cinder’s Baby, whom Stafford also trains, improved to 2-for-2 lifetime with a front-end 1:57.1 win, five lengths better than Hey Hey Dbay and Tobago Time.

Joining Cinder’s Baby with a sweep of her eliminations was Jo Ann Looney-King’s Stealing Bases ($4.00, Victor Kirby), who was a 1:58 winner over Uptown Lover and Rowdy One. The daughter of Roddy’s Bags Again collared pacesetter Rowdy One near the three-quarters and won by a length. Trained by Jim King Jr., It was the Jim King Jr. trainee’s third win in four lifetime starts and one of three wins on the card for Kirby.

The final division saw George Teague and MST Racing’s Adrianna ($3.00, Montrell Teague) prove a comfortable two-length winner over Roses And Orchids and Seboomook Beauty in 2:00. The Southwind Lynx filly scored her second career win in wire-to-wire fashion.

The top eight point earners from each division of DSBF action will return to compete in $100,000 final events on Oct. 7.

Stafford and Allan Davis each had driving doubles on the card.
