Sacramento, CA — When Gee Up came from out of the clouds at Cal Expo to pick up her initial score of 2012, it was victory No. 500 for Scott Cisco, who was piloting the pacing mare for his father Rick.

Scott, who celebrated his 33rd birthday two weeks ago, has recorded more than his share of tallies while guiding Rick’s trainees.

“I won my first ever race for my dad, which was special, and now it’s nice to also get No. 500 with one of his horses.”

On Saturday’s card (Feb. 11), Cisco is named to drive in half of the 14 races as he attempts to work his way toward the four-figure victory plateau.

Scott keeps active in the mornings helping out his wife Amanda Fraser, who currently has eight horses in her shedrow.

“It’s basically just the two of us, so we keep pretty busy,” he noted.

Live racing resumes at Cal Expo on Friday (Feb. 10) and Saturday (Feb. 11) at 6 p.m. (PST).
