A month ago top French trotter Cleangame was on his way to win the UET Masters Trot final at Vincennes with a purse for the winner of $185,000, but went off stride just shortly before the finish line and was disqualified.

Tuesday (Oct. 2) the owners of the 7-year-old gelding got some consolation, as Cleangame with Jean Michel Bazire won the Grand Prix Anjou-Maine very easily in the French province, a race with a purse for the winner of $44,000.
