Constance Collier, 63, dies

Columbus, OH — Constance Ann “Connie” Collier, 63, of Richmond, Va., long time horsemen’s bookkeeper at Colonial Downs, died at her home July 25, 2010.

She was the daughter of the late Otis M. and Ruby Spencer Collier.

Ms. Collier was the owner of Accounting By PC, Inc. and was a member of the Hermitage High School Class of 1965 Reunion Committee.

She was an avid horsewoman and spent countless volunteer hours promoting and serving the horse industry in Virginia. The 4H horse program was a priority in her life and she served as an adult leader at both the county and state levels for over 40 years. She also taught horse management classes at J. Sargeant Reynolds.

Visitation for friends will be held on Friday, July 30, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., where funeral services will be held Saturday, July 31, at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. A reception to celebrate her life will be held at Battery Park Christian Church following the service.
