from the Durkin–Spadaro Partnership

Saratoga Springs, NY — Coraggioso, the New York Sire Stakes 3-year-old trotting champion of 2012, has arrived at Sally Shaffer Parkinson’s beautiful Autumn Lane Farm located in Thornville, Ohio, where he will stand his first season at stud in 2016.

Coraggioso capped his 3-year-old season, which included victories in the Grand Circuit Historic and Tompkins-Geers stakes, by winning the $225,000 NYSS trotting colt championship at Yonkers Raceway.

The 11-time stakes winning half-mile track specialist continued his winning ways as a 4- and 5-year-old, winning multiple times from the assigned eight post in Yonkers Raceway Open Trot Handicap races before being sidelined by an injury sustained in August 2014.

Taking a new mark in each year he raced (2,1:59.2h; 3,1:54.3f; 1:52.4), Coraggioso started 50 times with a record of 21-10-6, earning $677,398.

Stud fee for 2016 has been announced at $2,500 with multiple-mare booking discount. Transported semen will be available.
