Crawford Farms purchases sales toppers at Tattersalls Summer Mixed Sale

Hightstown, NJ — Crawford Farms led the way at Sunday’s (July 14) Tattersalls Summer Mixed Sale at The Meadowlands, making the top-two purchases of the day.

At the top of Michelle and Al Crawford’s buys was stakes-winning trotter Celebrity Eventsy, a 6-year-old daughter of Manofmanymissions-Little Ms Queenie who has won 17 of 70 career races and $600,835. She was owned previously by Celebrity Farms and was hammered down for $95,000.

Next was Celebrity Lovin, a 10-year-old female trotter in foal to Crazy Wow. The mare, who sold for $80,000, is from the family of Dan Patch Award winner Self Possessed and the dam of two winners including Love A Good Story, a 2-year-old filly who is 2-for-2 on the New York Sire Stakes circuit. She also was owned previously by Celebrity Farms.

Celebrity Eventsy and Celebrity Lovin both were consigned by Preferred Equine.

The third-highest seller was JK Wildfire, a 4-year-old gelded pacer who has won seven of 54 career races and earned $158,674. Consigned by Northwood Bloodstock, he was purchased for $66,000 by Reginald Hazzard. The horse was owned previously by 3 Brothers Stables and trained by Brett Pelling.

A total of 82 horses sold at the auction for a total of $2.08 million and average of $25,414.
