The 2-5 favorite, Crisp Mane had been competing successfully in Open Handicap events at MGM Northfield, and the class relief was evident. The 5-year-old daughter of Sportswriter-Designated Leader jogged for Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. in 1:52.1, 3-1/4 lengths better than All Day Sunshine, with Something Reel third.

Ron Burke trains Crisp Mane, who lifted her lifetime bankroll to $257,860, for Sylvia Burke.

Mike Wilder piloted three winners on the 13-race card.

Live racing at The Meadows continues Thursday (July 29) when the program features the Edward M. Ryan, a $54,000 Arden Downs Grand Circuit Stake for freshman filly trotters. First post is 12:45 p.m.
