Crossfit Mouse wins opening day feature at Tioga

Nichols, NY — Crossfit Mouse (Corey Braden) captured the $12,000 Open Trot at Tioga Downs opening night (May 7).

Crossfit Mouse ($40.40) got the first call, but Itsonlymoneyhoney (Mike Merton) took control and led to the first quarter in :28. Believer (Braxten Boyd) then came first-up and hit the half first in :57.2. He continued to lead and was the first to three-quarters in 1:25.3.

As they made the turn for home Itsonlymoneyhoney took a short lead. But Crossfit Mouse came flying down the stretch and blew right on by to win easily in 1:55.2. Itsonlymoneyhoney had to settle for second and Believer finished third.

Crossfit Mouse is a 5-year-old gelding by Muscle Mass. He is owned by Braden and trained by Stacey McLeneghan. It was his third win this season and he now has 13 career victories.

Braden drove four winners on the card. His other winners were with Su Su Sussudio ($2.80), Silverhill Misty ($13.20), and Jammin Jack ($5.50).

Joe Skowyra had a training double. His wins came with Adayonthebay ($3.10) and No Where To Hide ($2.80).
