‘Cutie’ siblings back to Kawartha Saturday

from Kawartha Downs

Fraserville, ON — Siblings Imtoobadtobecute and Imacutiepatootie will be back at Kawartha Downs this Saturday night (July 8) competing in races one and three, respectively.

Imtoobadtobecute will be looking for his second victory at his hometown track as he won on June 17 for driver Mike Wade whose partner Annemarie Colville bred, trains and co-owns the 4-year-old Badlands Hanover son with R A W Equine and Mark Lee. He’ll leave from post four in the first race of the card.

His older sister, Imacutiepatootie, has post three in the third test of the evening. Wade will pilot the 5-year-old daughter of Tell All he co-owns with Colville and Jennifer Giles. She’ll be looking for her first win of the campaign after finishing second on Canada Day.

The pair are from Annemarie’s broodmare Puttingontheglitz whose previous foals include Nora Lee ($328,284); Alfredsson ($328,401) and Franceschetti ($256,188).

One to watch in the fourth race is Avenue Road Katie who will be making her first lifetime start for owner/breeder John Fielding of Toronto, one of the sport’s leading owners. The 2-year-old daughter of Art Official is trained by Murray Brethour who is considered one of this country’s top conditioners of young Standardbreds.

Avenue Road Katie is a half-sister to Dalhousie Dave, a former star on the Ontario Sires Stakes circuit who is still going strong at age 10 having won two weeks ago at Scioto Downs. He currently has earned $732,946 in his career.

Kawartha’s Saturday night program gets underway at 7 p.m. with lots of opportunities to win on track and off for fans of all ages. The evening’s program is available here.
