Columbus, OH — Darcy R. Pletcher, 60, of Howe, Ind., died April 29, 2020, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Mr. Pletcher was born Feb. 3, 1960, in LaGrange, Ind., to Delmer and Phoebe (Myers) Pletcher; they preceded him in death.

He was a graduate of Lakeland High School and Western Michigan University.

His livelihood was racing and training Standardbreds, which began at the age of 14. He was a member of the United States Trotting Association.

He enjoyed golfing and spending time on the lake.

Mr. Pletcher is survived by his daughter, Jorianne (Pat) Numbers;  sister, Dawn (Clayton) Pick; and his father’s companion, Karen Oesch.

A celebration of his life with his family will be held at a later date.
