Darke County matinee set for May 19

Greenville, OH — The Darke County Harness Horsemen’s Association would like to remind everyone of their upcoming annual matinee. This year’s event will be Sunday (May 19) with no rain date.

The races start at 1 p.m. at the Darke County Fairgrounds, Greenville, Ohio. Admission is free.

Entries will be taken on Thursday (May 16) from 3-6 p.m. by calling 937.548.9977. Entries will be posted on www.generieglememorial.com on Friday (May 17).

Cost of entry per horse is $30 or $20 for DCHHA members. Trophy blankets will be awarded. Time bar races only. Concessions will be available along with raffles.

The horsemen are also having a chicken and pork chop BBQ. Pick up date is May 18 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Darke Co. Fairgrounds near barn No 2. Cost is $8 and it includes a beverage. Please call Tim Reck at 937.467.5020 with any questions and to place your order.

The DCHHA would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the sponsors who supported us at our recent awards banquet. The money raised at this event supports the matinee, racing at the fair, donations to community, many annual capital improvements at the fairgrounds, and various other activities and events.
