David Glasser catches another win in this week’s GSY series race

East Rutherford, NJ — The first race on Friday (May 20) night’s Big M card saw eight trotters go to post in the GSY Series race.

As the gate opened, several horses left and after the first quarter mile, there were two different leaders who wanted control on the front end. Doc Simon’s Dream, with Jimmy Marshall IV at the reins, took the lead but was quartered moved by Roy Marohn, aboard Captain Primeau. They remained in this order until just before the three-quarter pole and that’s where David Glasser, aboard his “catch” drive, Feisty Love, whome he picked up earlier in the week, went three-wide to the lead and never looked back.

Sent off again at modest odds of 11-1, it was Glasser’s second win in the series which was on a week’s hiatus for the Billings Amateur events that took place last Friday (May 13).

He paid $24.60 to win and the race was timed in a quick 1:55.4.

Marshall IV, re-rallied for second and Peter Gerry, driving Meadow Seelster, rounded out the trifecta. Feisty Love is an 8-year-old mare by Angus Hall and is owned by Edward and James Hall Jr. She is trained by Daniel Gill.

Next Friday (May 27) the GSY Series Amateur Series will return under the same conditions while racing at the Big M heats up going into the summer.

First post is at 7:15 pm.
