Davidson du Pont got his revenge

The results were different from the Grand Prix d’Amerique a fortnight ago in Sunday’s (Feb. 9) Grand Prix de France, as Davison du Pont with Jean Michel Bazie won by a nose ahead of Face Time Bourbon with Björn Goop.

Both were timed in 1.54.2 (mile rate).

While Davidson du Pont was prominent most of the trip, Face Time Bourbon was rather unlucky and, going into the stretch, he was boxed in and stuck in the middle of the field.

Davidson du Pont had opened up by a couple of lengths and looked as he was going to be an easy winner.

But then Goop found racing room and Face Time Bourbon made an explosive move.

The Prix d’Amerique-winner finished fast but had to settle for second place.

The purse for the winner was $185,000 dollars.
