Deadline approaching for Museum’s stallion auction

Goshen, NY — February 20 is the last day to mail a bid on a spectacular roster of stallions whose services have been donated to The Harness Racing Museum for the 2010 season. Fax and e-mails must also be dated February 20.

Topping this year’s list is 2007 Harness Horse of the Year Donato Hanover, along with Hall of Fame inductees Camluck (2008) and Cam’s Card Shark (2007), as well as six exceptional stallions entering the breeding shed for the first time.

Premiering their breeding careers in Ontario are two-time world champion and Breeders Crown winner Artistic Fella and the Ontario Sires Stakes Super Final winner Windsong Espoir. Other available breedings in Ontario are that province’s leading moneywinning pacing sire Camluck, Little Brown Jug winner Million Dollar Cam, Artsplace’s fastest son Stonebridge Regal and Striking Sahbra one of the world’s leading trotting sires, with winners of over $44,634,489.

The 2-year-old world champion Lear Jetta and multiple stakes winner Xactly Hanover will start their breeding careers in Pennsylvania. Equinox Bi, Breeders Crown and Maple Leaf Trotting Classic winner and a proven sire in Europe is now available in Pennsylvania. Along with these newcomers the Keystone State offers Horse of the Year and world champion Donato Hanover, the great trotting sire American Winner, Meadowlands Pace and North American Cup winner The Panderosa, SJ’s Caviar, a sire of world champions, Pacing Colt of the Year Village Jolt, half-mile track world champion Garth Vader, the royally bred Malabar Millennium, Nuclear Breeze p,1:48.2, retired as the all-age world champion on a five-eighths-mile track, the Supergill son Super Vintage and world champion Magical Mike.

New York offers first season stallions in NYSS winner Big Apple Deli, Conway Court, a multiple stakes-winning half brother to leading trotting sire Credit Winner, and Spiked Cider by leading sire Yankee Glide. Also standing in the Empire State is the world champion on a half-mile track Cash Hall, NJSS winner Diamond Goal, OHSS winner Ilooklikemymom, Lislea, sire of Lislea Phia 4,1:50.2f ($542,450), Adios winner Riverboat King, NYSS winner RC Royalty, Breeders Crown winner Totally Western, fastest son of Cam Fella as a 2- and 3-year-old Village Jove, NYSS winner Whelan Willie, and Adios winner Artist Stena.

New Jersey is home to 1994 Horse of the Year Cam’s Card Shark and Revenue with two crops racing and winners of nearly $2 million. The state of Delaware offers warhorse Cams Fortune, Cane Pace winner Powerful Toy, and Confederation Cup winner Rustler Hanover. Maryland offers the steady campaigner Cam’s Rocket and Maine is represented by stakes winner Roadshow Hall.

World champion Ponder, the Valley Victory son Valley Victor, and Cam Fella son and 1:50 pacing sire Cams Eclipse are at home in Kentucky. Coventry, an Old Oaken Bucket winner, represents the state of Michigan. At home again in Indiana are Cane and Messenger winner Always A Virgin and Colonial Trot winner Holy Guacamolie while Illinois is represented by Metro winner Yankee Skyscaper.

Income raised by the auction, over $352,000 since 1999, supports the Museum’s General Operating Fund.
