Hamburg, NY — Nominations close at Buffalo Raceway on Sunday, January 4, for “The Niatross Knockout Late Closer Series” for horses that have started for a base claiming price of $4,000 or less in 2008.

The first leg purse is $4,000 and horses may be claimed for $5,000. The second leg purse is $5,000 and horses may be claimed for $6,000 and the third leg purse is $6,000 and horses may be claimed for $7,000. The final is $10,000 added with an estimated purse of $26,000, if there are 64 nominations.

The nomination fee is $250 and the opening leg is Wednesday, January 14, 2009 with the final and consolation on February 4.
