Columbus, OH — If you haven’t already submitted your entry for the 2011 Marie Hill Youth Writing Contest it’s time to get writing! The deadline is fast approaching and your chance at $1,500 in cash prizes will soon be gone.
The deadline is Friday, Aug. 26, so if you haven’t done so already, send your best essay, fiction or nonfiction entry to us for your chance to win cash, prizes and have your story published in an upcoming issue of Youth Beats.
The contest, founded and sponsored by Marie Hill, was created to encourage kids to write about harness racing and the Standardbred breed. It’s open to all USTA youth members 16 and under, with winners being selected in two categories; 12 and under and 13-16.
