Delaware County Fair to export signal Tuesday-Thursday only

by Paul Ramlow, USTA Internet News Manager

Columbus, OH — The Delaware County Fair will be exporting its signal on Tuesday, Sept. 22, Wednesday, Sept. 23 (Jugette Day), and Thursday, Sept. 24 (Little Brown Jug Day), only. The Fair will not be exporting its signal on Sunday, Sept. 20, or Monday, Sept. 21.

Delaware has been exporting its signal since the mid-1990s and this marks the first time that each day of the Grand Circuit meet will not be available for off-track wagering.

“The simple reason is we cut numerous things,” said Phil Terry, general manager of the Delaware County Fair and the Little Brown Jug, “and neither day was making us money.”

Delaware will once again offer a first-class simulcast show this year featuring hosts Dave Bianconi and Sam McKee. The show will come on the air 30 minutes before post time. The schedule will be as follows:

Tuesday, Sept. 22: Air Time 11:30 a.m. — Post Time 12 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 23 (Jugette Day): Air Time 10:30 a.m. — Post Time 11 a.m.
Thursday, Sept. 24 (Little Brown Jug Day): Air Time 10:30 a.m. — Post Time 11 a.m.
