Dover, DE — The board of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders’ Fund will meet at 1 p.m. on Friday (Oct. 7) at the Delaware Department of Agriculture. The purpose of this meeting will be to adopt proposed regulations which will create a 4-year-old bonus program.

The program will be open to any Delaware sired 4-year-old who was properly nominated as a yearling or supplemented with the late fee as a 2-year-old. A ten percent bonus will be paid to the current owner of record on any purse earned in overnight events at Dover Downs and Harrington Raceway. A ten percent bonus will also be paid to the breeder of record.

It is hoped the program can be implemented in 2012.

The meeting is open to the public.
