East Rutherford, NJ — The Meadowlands and the Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown are announcing pertinent details regarding the security to be employed for the upcoming Breeders Crown races.
For the elimination races this weekend, participants in the Open Mare Pace will be required to report to the security barn by 10 p.m. on Thursday (Oct. 20). All 14 elimination races on Saturday are required to be checked in to the security barns by 10 p.m. on Friday (Oct. 21).
Names of all attending personnel for the security barn must be submitted to Andrea in the Racing Office via fax at 201.460.4042, phone at 201.460.4214 or e-mail ahanley@playmeadowlands.com.
Looking forward to next week’s Breeders Crown finals, The Meadowlands, in concert with the Hambletonian Society executive and Breeders Crown committee, has made the decision to require all starters to be available for out of competition testing by stabling in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York or Connecticut. All finalists must be in one of those states by 4 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct 26).
The Meadowlands also reserves the right to require designated horses to be stabled in New Jersey by 4 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 23).
For the finals, all participants will be required to check in to the security barns by the time designated on the overnight sheet and remain in that secured area overnight. The next condition sheet is available here.
