Lexington, KY — Diamond Creek Sales is pleased to offer a 2022 Tattersalls Winter Mixed Sale consignment that includes both quality broodmares and also opportunities to purchase breedings to the 2021 first crop sensation, Downbytheseaside.

Standouts from the consignment are as follows:

Hip 2 – It Can Happen (Art Major x Lotsa Matzah), a young mare out of a full sister to Heston Blue Chip. Currently carrying her second foal by top sire Downbytheseaside, stud fee paid and nonrefundable.

Hip 5 – Spectacular Bay (Andover Hall x Manalapan), selling in foal to Tactical Landing, (stud fee paid and nonrefundable) whose first crop was well received this year at the yearling sales. Has been a high level yearling producer, with two past yearlings in Lexington selling for $240,000 and $300,000, respectively.

Hip 6 Whimbel Hanover (Father Patrick x Winterberry), this mare is the standout in the broodmare section of the mixed catalog. She is the first foal from a three-quarter sister to Breeders Crown and Kentucky Futurity winner Creatine, who is the sire of Jujubee, another winner of both Breeders Crown and Kentucky Futurity (1:49.3, $961,857). She is being sold in foal with her first foal by Chapter Seven (stud fee paid/non refundable).

A few more highlights of the Diamond Creek consignment are Hips 9-11, which feature one share of Downbytheseaside (one breeding per share per year) and two one time use breedings (only valid for 2022, no ownership rights transferred, nonrefundable, upfront stud fee) for 2022. This is an excellent chance to be guaranteed a breeding to a top sire. Downbytheseaside‘s 2022 book was full and closed by the end of November.

A late addition to the supplemental catalog will be racing and possible broodmare prospect, Off The Record (Always B Miki x Southwind Silence, 1:51, $156,563).
