Columbus, OH — Dina Marie (nee Meittinis) McGowan, 40, of Dix Hills, N.Y., died July 12, 2010.

She was the daughter of the late Louis Meittinis, a longtime Standardbred trainer, and the sister of driver Jim Meittinis. She taught Special Education for 15 years, most recently at West Hollow Middle School.

She is survived by her children, Tyler and Natalie; mother, Carol; great-grandmother, Eleanor Kachites; brothers, Nick (Stephanie) Meittinis and Jim (Linda) Meittinis; and many nieces and nephews.

Reposing will take place Wednesday, July 14, from 7-9:30 p.m. and Thursday, July 15, from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9:30 p.m. at Mangano Funeral Home, 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park. The Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, July 16, at 9:45 a.m. at St. Matthews, Dix Hills. Burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Huntington.
