Divine Deo wins the feature at Dover on Wednesday night

Dover, DE – Divine Deo found race room late and won the Winners Over/Select for pacing fillies and mares at Bally’s Dover on Wednesday (Dec. 28) night.

The 6/5 betting favorite, Factory Girl and Divine Deo left quickest off the gate. Factory Girl settled, then retook the lead pacing towards the quarter mile. Divine Deo and driver Allan Davis accepted the pocket trip. It became the winning strategy.

Factory Girl set fractions of :27.3 :56.3 (:29) Cruzinforavictory grinded first-up past the half and challenged Factory Girl at the three-quarters in 1:25.2 (:28.4) Divine Deo and Allan Davis waited patiently from the pocket and rocketed home in deep stretch to win by a head in 1:54.3. She paid $7.80 for the victory.

Divine Deo (Bettor’s Delight) is owned by Mulligan Stables of Georgetown, DE. Jason Johnson trained and Allan Davis drove.

The win puts Divine Deo over $120,000 in seasonal earnings.

Factory Girl cut the mile and finished 2nd for Hall Of Fame trainer Joe Holloway. Corey Callahan drove.

Cruzinforavictory grinded first-up to finish third for trainer Jeff Clark. Ross Wolfenden drove.

Tony Morgan won four races on the betting card.

Thursday’s (Dec. 29) 11th race, the Blue Hen/Open Handicap Pace, features Incaseyoudidntknow. She attempts to make it back to back victories against the boys.
