Daniel Redén-trained Don Fanucci Zet, who was favored to win the Elitlopp but went off stride at the start, returned as a winner Saturday night (June 18) at the Boden track in northern Sweden.

Don Fanucci Zet was the 1-10 favorite in the Norrbotten Grand Prix with a purse for the winner of $100,000.

After a tough battle from the start with Vitruvio with Mika Forss, Don Fanucci Zet was in command the rest of the trip and won the 1-5/16th mile event in 1:56.3f, followed by stablemate Born Unicorn with Mats E. Djuse in the bike.

This was win number four from six races in 2022 for Don Fanucci Zet.
