Don Fisher, 60, dies

Columbus, OH — Don E. Fisher, 60, died at The Ohio State University Heart Hospital on July 11, 2016, following a heart attack.

He was a longtime owner of Standardbreds in Ohio and Indiana trained by Mike Conklin, Herb LeVan, Don Pfister and Paul Ungashick, to name a few.

Some of the horses Mr. Fisher owned were Grand Sam, trained by Paul Ungashick, and Mattress Dancing, trained by Mike Conklin and Don Pfister.

Mr. Fisher had retired from Honda Auto Plant and was working part-time at Blues Creek Equine Center at the time of his passing.

He is survived by his wife, Heidi; and his parents, Don E. and Pauline.
