Vernon, NY — Vernon Downs will conduct a double draw on Wednesday (Aug. 21) for the Saturday (Aug. 24) and Sunday (Aug. 25) races.

Chief among the events for the weekend are the $700,000 Zweig Memorial trot, open and filly divisions, which will be raced on Sunday along with the first leg of the 2013 Drivers’ Championship.

The Excelsior/State Fair races for 2-year-old trotting and pacing colts will be raced on Saturday evening.
