The Dutch duo, driver Robin Bakker and trainer Paul Hagoort, had one of the finest moments in their racing career Friday afternoon at the Stupinigi racetrack in Turin, Italy as they won the Gran Premio Orsi Mangelli and the companion filly division.

The prestigious Gran Premio Orsi Mangelli, for many years one of the finest international races for 3-year-old trotters in Europe and raced at the now closed San Siro track in Milan, had a purse of $125,000 for the winner.

Robin Bi, an Italian 3-year-old sold as a yearling for $19.000 to a Dutch owner and trained by Paul Hagoort, was the only foreign entry in the race.

He handily won the 1-5/16 mile event in 1.57.4f (mile rate) with Robin Bakker in the bike followed by Rossella Ross, sired by Self Possessed, and Remo Gas, sired by Varenne.

The handsome colt Robin Bi is sired by Toss Bout and out of a mare sired by Self Possessed.

In the Filly division Robin Bakker and Paul Hagoort raced the Dutch-bred Danae F Boko, sired by Ken Warkentin, who was a very easy winner over the mile in 1.58f.
