Brookfield, WI — Walsh products has announced that Canadian harness driver Doug McNair has joined Team Walsh’s stable of premier harness racing drivers.

“We are always on the lookout for industry participants who demonstrate the same extraordinary commitment to winning as Walsh,” stated Walsh President & CEO, Paul Treiber. “Doug has shown exceptional talent at a very young age, and has proven to be an outstanding ambassador of the sport to younger fans.”

Doug McNair jump started his career with a victory in the $300,000 Battle of Waterloo at Grand River Raceway back in 2008, being the youngest driver to capture a purse of that size at the age of 18.

The Guelph, Ontario resident is now making his home on the Woodbine/Mohawk circuit, but took some time off recently to travel back to Grand River and complete a sweep of Grand River Raceway’s signature stakes events, the Battle of Waterloo and Battle of the Belles for 2-year-old Ontario-sired pacers, on the 2013 Industry Day card of harness racing.

McNair was excited to partner up with Walsh and join the likes of future Hall of Famer Tim Tetrick, Canadian superstar Jody Jamieson, young guns Ronnie Wrenn, Jr., Marcus Miller and Trace Tetrick, and fellow breakout driver Scott Zeron on the sponsored driver team.

“Walsh is represented by some of the most respected drivers and trainers in our business; it is pretty cool to be part of that crew,” said McNair.
