Dover, DE — Dover Downs will be soliciting entries for a $40,000 Mares Invitational to be held on Wednesday (Nov. 13) as part of its 50th anniversary season kickoff.

The event will be carded in addition to the normal Wednesday $25,000 Mares Open and the multiple Mares Winners Over events.

“With the Grand Circuit making its quick swing through Delaware during the month of November, this race for the aged mares would be a wonderful complement to the strong overnight program, the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund championships, and our signature Hap Hansen Progress Pace,” said John Hensley, Director of Race and Sports.
