Dover, DE — Dover Downs will return next week for its 51st harness racing season. The 83-day meet opens on Monday (Nov. 2) and will conclude on Thursday (April 1).

Live racing will be dark on Nov. 26 (Thanksgiving) and Dec. 18 through Dec. 27 (Christmas break).

Horse racing will be conducted Monday through Thursday and post time is 4:30 p.m.

The Delaware Standard Breeders Fund 2-year-old stakes eliminations compete from Nov. 9 through Nov. 18. The 2-year-old finals will be contested on Nov. 24 and 25.

DSBF 3-year-old eliminations race on Nov. 30 through Dec. 10. The 3-year-old finals are on Dec. 17.

The Matron series 2-year-olds will compete on Thursday (Nov. 5) and 3-year-olds on Thursday (Nov. 12).

The signature race of the season, The Progress Pace final, will be on Wednesday (Nov. 25). Elimination races will be on Wednesday (Nov. 18), if necessary.

Opening draw schedule for the first week of racing is as follows:

Tuesday (Oct. 27) for Monday (Nov. 2)
Wednesday (Oct. 28) for Tuesday (Nov. 3)
Thursday (Oct. 29) for Wednesday (Nov. 4)
Monday (Nov. 2) for Thursday (Nov. 5)
