DP Rocket repeats, scores lifetime mark

Washington, PA — DP Rocket brushed wide through the final turn, overtook the leader in deep stretch and captured Thursday’s (May 20) feature at The Meadows — a $10,300 fillies and mares conditioned trot — for her second straight victory.

Maewegonow repelled the first wave of challengers, but when Mike Wilder moved DP Rocket from third, she was the stronger mare, downing Maewegonow by a half length in a career best 1:54.3. Tamar rallied for show.

Tyler Stillings trains DP Rocket, a 5-year-old daughter of All In Tad and Striking Annie who extended her career bankroll to $132,396, for Rags To Riches Of PA.

Wilder piloted four winners and Dave Palone three on the 13-race card.

Live racing at The Meadows continues Friday (May 21), when the 13-race program features a $3,166.38 carryover in the final-race Super Hi-5. First post is 12:45 p.m.
