Dr. Peter Boyce, 63, dies

Columbus, OH — Dr. Peter H. Boyce, 63, of Gettysburg, Pa., died August 20, 2010, at the Gettysburg Hospital.

Born November 4, 1947, in Guelph, Ontario, he was the son of the late George K. and Marguerite (Bouchner) Boyce.

Dr. Boyce was a veterinarian specializing in equine reproduction, and one of the most respected Standardbred veterinarians in North America. He was a graduate of Guelph University, a member of the Pennsylvania Veterinarian Assoc., and an avid Civil War buff.

He is survived by his children, Matthew, Erin, Pete, Mark and Gemma; and brothers, Robert and Bill.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday (August 27) at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5055 Grandview Rd., Hanover, with the Rev. Timothy D. Marcoe officiating. Friends and relatives will be received on Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the church.

Dr. Boyce’s daughter Erin and friends will run a relay marathon for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness and Research.
