Vernon, NY — Horsemen are reminded that there are a number of Grand Circuit stakes to be raced at Tioga and Vernon Downs over the next few weeks.

The Dr. Harry M Zweig Memorial stakes for 3-year-old trotters is scheduled for Friday (Aug. 18) at Vernon Downs. The box will close at 9 a.m. on Tuesday (Aug. 15).

Horses drawn into the main event for both fillies and colts must be checked into the Detention Barn by 8 p.m. on Thursday (Aug. 17).

Those horsemen intending to stay at the Vernon hotel for the Zweig should make reservations via the Race Office ASAP.

At Tioga Downs next Sunday (Aug. 20) is a really big day.

The Empire Breeders Classic pacing finals and Roll With Joe FFA pace are both on the card along with all divisions of the Tompkins-Geers stakes for 2-year-olds. The box for those races will close at 9 a.m. on Thursday (Aug. 17).

Horses in the EBC finals and Roll With Joe will be required to be checked into the Detention Barn by 8 p.m. on Saturday (Aug. 19).
