Cream Ridge, NJ — The winner of the Standardbred Retirement Foundation annual raffle, to help feed the needy horses, will be drawn Wednesday (April 29) at 5:30 p.m.

Raffle tickets may still be purchased and the winner may choose either the Elitlopp trip in Stockholm or Disney fun in 2020 or 2021.

Disney World or Disneyland awaits you. Create the package to your liking for whenever the dates suit you during 2020 or 2021. Hotel, travel, and theme park tickets can all be included. This package is valued up to $5,000. Visit Disneyland’s new park, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, visit during the Festival of Holidays, or wait until warmer months. Disney World brings you the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and so much more.

The Elitlopp Race includes a 5-day/4-night stay for two in the very heart of Stockholm, Sweden. Your visit starts with a get together dinner Thursday night. Start your mornings with a buffet breakfast and then on to sightseeing; Friday afternoon tour the yearling sale, and on Saturday morning tour Menhammer Stud Farm where many famous stallions have stood. You will receive entrance to the Solvalla Racetrack on Saturday and Sunday for the big race. The dates are May 28–June 1, 2020, or at a similar time in 2021. Select the trip this year or go in 2021.

SRF depends on the support of the Elitlopp/Disney raffle fundraiser every year. There was concern this year as COVID 19 peaked just as the fundraiser launched, yet the the support has been heartwarming and generous, and speaks volumes for those who have a love and respect for these animals.

With all of SRF’s social fundraisers cancelled; adoptions stalled, due to temporary closure of the leased farm; support for this fundraiser is very much needed. “Getting feed to the nearly 400 horses every morning, and providing medical care are the priorities. Donations and the sale of raffle tickets are the only source of income right now to get this done,” shared Judy Bokman, SRF’s Director.
