Toronto, ON — After qualifying Monday morning, Canada’s Horse of the Year in 2010, Dreamfair Eternal, is set to make her 2011 pari-mutuel debut this Friday (May 13) at Woodbine. She will begin from post five in the C$40,000 Fillies and Mares Open Pace in race nine for regular pilot Randy Waples and trainer Patrick Fletcher.

The daughter of Camluck-J Cs Nathalie conquered her division last year with a 16-4-1 record from 22 starts. She earned $925,575 in seasonal checks and posted victories in the Breeders Crown, Milton Stakes, Artiscape and Masters Series, just to name a few.

On Monday morning, WEG’s media department had a chance to speak to owner John Lamers where he confirmed the chances of racing his star pacer this weekend.

“Yes we are (looking for a race with her this weekend). There is really no need to qualify her back again and I hope they write the class for her. I’m not in favor of racing against the boys all the time but she needs to get a couple of starts because on June 12 we have a stakes race at Tioga Downs (Artiscape Pace),” Lamers said.

Overall, Dreamfair Eternal is a winner of $1,630,693 in her career with a 1:49 lifetime best taken at the Meadowlands in 2009.
