Drivers donate signed whips to benefit Jason Moore

by Paul Ramlow, USTA Internet News Manager

Columbus, OH — Nine harness drivers have donated signed whips to be sold on Ebay to raise money for Jason Moore.

Moore became involved in harness racing horse ownership last year while battling a malignant brain tumor. The funds raised in the auction will help Moore pay bills related to a current medical crisis.

The drivers are: Ron Pierce (Meadowlands Pace whip used for Well Said); George Brennan; Andy Miller; Michel Lachance; John Campbell; Tim Tetrick; Daniel Dube; David Miller; and Carmine Abbatiello.

In addition, Tammy Truex, who just invented a new racebike made out of aircraft material, is donating a bike to be sold. She can be reached at 609.848.3017. The bike only has 12 welds and just passed the USTA testing. She’s the daughter of a NASCAR race owner.
