Drop in class aids Mic Mac Jack

Harrington, DE — John Lohnes’ trotter Mic Mac Jack enjoyed a significant class drop Thursday at Harrington Raceway and earned his third win of the year in 2:06 (one and one-sixteenth mile distance).
Trained and driven by Jim King, Jr., the eight-year-old Moving Forward gelding fell in the four hole early after three horses broke stride. King urged him to the lead approaching the three-quarters and he held off 25-1 shot Charlestown Flash (Jim Morand) to the wire.
King earned a trainer/driver trouble with Mattazuma in a $40,000 claiming event. The four-year-old Matt’s Scooter stallion set all the fractions in his three length win at odds of 6-1.
Driver George Dennis won three races on the program.
Racing resumes Sunday with a 5:30 p.m. post time.
