DSBF Pacing Colts complete first leg Monday

Harrington, DE – Four $20,000 divisions of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund for 2-year-old colts and geldings kicked off the new week of racing Monday (Sept. 26) at Harrington Raceway.

Night Terror ($7, Roger Plante Jr.) started the DSBF divisions with a 1:57.4 win, his third of the season. The Badlands Hanover colt was wire-to-wire winner from post three over Sweetest Swing and Double Bags. Owned by Leblanc Racing, William Lutz Jr., Count De Money Stable and Ronald Jones, the Steve Leblanc trainee was making his seventh start of the season.

The second split saw a similar outcome from the same post position as Evm Racing’s Cards A Flyin was sent immediately for the lead and never relented in a 1:59.1 triumph over Marshall Dillon and I’mroddythebagman. The Classic Card Shark colt was making his first career start for trainer Andrew Stafford.

The fastest division was the third, where Gaitway Guy ($10.20, Corey Callahan) made a powerful three-wide move and surged to a 1:55.3 win over Delightinhisglory and Ajayi. The Delmarvalous colt notched his second straight win in just two lifetime starts for the Gty Stable and trainer Jeff Smith. It was one of three wins on the card for Callahan, who joined Allan Davis with a driving triple.

Let It Ride Stables’ Bad Boy Too ($6.20, Victor Kirby) was a front-end winner in the final division in 1:56.3 for trainer Mike Hall. The Badlands Hanover gelding notched his second career win and was a comfortable winner over He’s A Savage and Buzzle.

In the overnight feature, Andrew Glassmeyer and Tlb Racing’s Major Betts ($13.80, Pat Berry) was a 1:51.4 winner in the $17,500 winners-over pace.

Art Stafford Jr. and Montrell Teague each had a pair of wins.
