Easy task for Propulsion in Sweden

by Karsten Bønsdorf, USTA Newsroom Senior Correspondent

Propulsion, driven by Ôrjan Kihlström, came from behind to win an international stakes race at the Ârjäng track in Sweden on Saturday afternoon (July 14) in 1:51.2f, which was a new track record.

The old record was held by Sebastian K, who won the same race back in 2013 in 1:52f.

This was win number four in 2018 and with the purse for the winner of $70,000, Propulsion now has lifetime earnings of $1.9 million.

Propulsion will probably race next time in the Aabergs Memorial at Jägersro on July 31.

On Saturday’s card at Ârjäng, a race for 3-year-old trotters was won by Betting Gangster in 1:55.1f, driven by Carl Johan Jepson. That time was also a new track record.
