Northfield, OH — For the second time in the last three trots in the Great Lakes Amateur Drivers Association, young and talented Eddie Miller reined a winner. This week he took no prisoners and went down the road with Cowboy Country to a wire-to-wire triumph in a time of 1:58.

On March 13 Miller won a GLADA trot with Bold Strategy.

Being sent off as the prohibitive 1-2 favorite from the two-hole, Miller took command but was challenged by longshot Yss Toddys Prince (Mark Rocovich). They zipped by the quarter in :29 and were still side-by-side as they approached the half in :58.4. But by the time they reached that marker, Rocovich’s trotter was all in and his strides began to shorten.

Meanwhile Better Call Saul (Lonnie Graber) was a solid second behind Cowboy Country as they trotted by the third stanza in 1:28.2. And as the field headed for the final turn, Darrell Rideout moved up behind Better Call Saul with Dont Front Me but that was as far as he went.

When the leaders approached the finish line Better Call Saul was rallying but the veteran trotter ran out of racetrack and was a head short as Cowboy Country held gamely for the win. Voss Volo came from out of the pack to garner the show dough for Manny Miller.

Cowboy Country is owned by Rebecca Sugg and Steven Maas and is trained by Eddie Miller. He paid $3.00 for the win.
