Edward Geer, 93, dies

Columbus, OH — Edward O. Geer, 93, a former member of the USTA, died Feb. 4, 2012.

He was born May 19, 1918, in London, Ohio. A graduate of The Ohio State University in 1942, he served as a Special Agent in the Counter Intelligence Corps in World War II in the South Pacific Theater. Returning home, he graduated from the University of Denver Law School as a Doctor of Jusisprudence.

His public service spanned many years with his serving as an Assistant City Attorney of Denver, twice as Manager of Safety & Excise for the City of Denver, Municipal Court Judge of Denver and lastly as Municipal Court Prosecutor for the City of Glendale.

Interspersed in his years of public service he also practiced law privately.

Mr. Geer had a great love of horses, especially Standardbreds. Among his top horses were Deputy Marshal and Polished Satin.
