Edward Iacobucci, 59, dies

Columbus, OH — Edward Ernesto Iacobucci, 59, died June 21, 2013, at his home in Delray Beach, Fla., surrounded by his family.

A man known in the business world for his tenacity, Mr. Iacobucci fought a difficult, 16-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

A renowned technology visionary and serial entrepreneur, he is best known for founding Citrix Systems, DayJet and VirtualWorks. A free spirited, profound thinker, Mr. Iacobucci was bold enough to believe he could change the world. His creativity and innovative spirit made it happen.

Mr. Iacobucci, under the stable name Wingedfoot Farms, was one of the owners of Chip Chip Hooray. The bay colt was the first horse he ever owned when he purchased an interest in April 2002 and that colt went on to win that year’s Hambletonian.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Lee; children, Marianna (Eden), William and Michelle; mother, Costantina; brother, Billy; and grandchildren, Sophia, Haven and Estelle.
